The main idea of “Be a Perfect Person in Just Three Days” by Stephen Manes is that there’s a boy Milo he wants to be perfect. Milo is sly. I know this because he tried to look at the back of the book. Dr. Pinkerton Silverfish is a messy guy. I know this because he had mustard dripping down his chin. In the book, first, a book hits Milo on the head. Then, he takes it out because he wants to be perfect. Next, he has to wear a stalk of broccoli. Then, he is not allowed to eat. Finally, he is not allowed to sleep. Dr. Pinkerton tells him, “Stay right here. Don’t move, don’t even breathe.” What do you think Milo will do?
If you have ever wanted to be perfect you will like this book because in the book, Milo fells like he is not perfect and he wants to be perfect. If you have ever felt angry, you will relate to Milo because he feels angry when he makes mistakes.
If you like Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst than you will like “Be a Perfect Person in Just Three Days” by Stephen Manes because in both books Milo is not perfect just like Alexander is not perfect. They are also similar because in both books Milo follows a weird doctor’s words to be a perfect person and in Alexander he wants to move to the weird country of Australia so that he does not have anymore bad days.

Sebastian,
ReplyDeleteYou know, I think Dr. Silverfish is a jerk. Really! Making Milo do all of those things to try and become perfect...that's a disgrace. I feel bad for Milo who wasted his time.
Thanks for telling me about the story. I think I will go pick up a copy right now!
Keep up the good work,
Mr. de Leon
Sebastian,
ReplyDeleteYour description of what happens in the book made me laugh out loud because it was so carefully written. This book sounds crazy.
I really am impressed by the way you used evidence to "back up" what you were saying. You proved to me that Dr. Silverfish was a messy guy. Sometimes students have trouble focusing on proving things, but did it smoothly and succinctly.
Very eloquent!
Mr. Russeth
Hi Sebastian,
ReplyDeleteI really like your review! I like the way you let the reader know how they will relate to Milo because everyone has felt angry at some point in life. Great job!
