In the book Be A Perfect Person In Just Three Days by Stephen Manes the main idea is Milo is trying to be perfect. Milo is clumsy because he made a book fall on his head. Also his sister is very rude to him. Milo’s parents are very careless because they let Milo take broccoli from the fridge. Milo also likes to be rude to his older sister. Dr. K. Pinkerton is kind of silly because he wears clothes and he looks like he is not perfect. Milo went to the library and a book hit him on the head. His parents pick on him. He read the first chapter of the book. He was told to wear broccoli. Dr Silverfish knows that Milo doesn’t read long books.

If you have ever want to be perfect you will like this book because Milo tries to be perfect. He finds a book called how to be a perfect person in just three days. If you have ever felt weird, you will relate to Milo because he feels weird when he walks around with a stalk of broccoli on his neck. He does this because Dr. Silverfish told him to in the book called how to be a perfect person in just three days. How does his classmates react? ”Save some for the fishes” they tell him when he is drinking water at the water fountain.

If you like Alexander and the No Good, Very Bad, Horrible Day by Judith Viorst then you will like How To Be a Perfect Person In Just Three Days by Stephen Manes because in both books they have bad days. They both get annoyed because of Alexander’s brothers and Milo’s sister. They are also similar because in both books they get picked on. They both get angry because of there older sister or older brothers. They both get angry because of their older sister or older brothers. The both feel bad about themselves. If you like Alexander, you will also like Be A Perfect Person In Just Three Days because the have a lot of nice pictures in both books. And, I also like the animation of both books.

  1. You have some really good observations. I like the way you use the quote from the story. Great job! Keep reading, and good luck with fourth grade!

  2. Kymani,
I agree completely. Reading this book totally made me feel better on days when I was feeling blue. It actually - believe it or not - is one of my very favorite stories. I like how your essay references another story: Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, etc. I think that's a great story as well.

    Keep up the good work,

  3. Kymani,

You included some super details in your review. I was really impressed by how you included a short quotation in your review. Your "writing voice" is very strong; I love how often you share your opinions and observations throughout. I can tell that you're becoming a great writer.

    Nicely done!
