In the book Be A Perfect Person In Just Three Days by Stephen Manes, the main idea is Milo wants to be a perfect person. Milo is careless because he didn’t watch out or the egg and milk knock down. He is also weird because he thinks if he puts on the broccoli on his neck to be perfect. Dr. Silverfish is crazy because he told Milo wear a broccoli around his neck for the whole day.

Have you ever wanted to be perfect? If so, you will like this book because in the book, Milo wants to be perfect. He finds a book that hit him on the head. It is called Be A Perfect Person In Just Three Days. If you have ever felt like you wanted to reach a goal, you will relate to Milo because he feels like he could reach his goals even if he had to do something embarrassing like putting a stalk of broccoli around his neck. “Milo, that is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen,” Janet declared.

If you like Alexander and the No Good, Very Bad, Horrible Day by Judith Viorst, then you will like Be a Perfect Person in Just 3 Days by Stephen Manes because in both books the main characters, Alexander and Milo, both have bad days. Alexander got pushed in the mud by Nick. Alexander tried to punch Nick but his mom said no. Milo got picked on by a bully. They are also similar because in both books someone pick on them. Elissa is Milo’s sister and she picks on him. Also, there is a bully from school called George. And, Alexander’s brothers pick on him. One is called Nick and the other one is called Anthony. So, in both books the boys get bullied.

  1. Hi Parish,
What a great review! I like the way you compared the two books and showed what's similar and what's different, and I can definitely see how the two boys have a lot in common. You did a very good job!

  3. Dear Parish,

Thank you very much for this thoughtful, clear review! I can tell that you spent a lot of time working on it. I love how you made a text-to-text connection by comparing Be a Perfect Person in Just 3 Days to Alexander and the No Good, Very Bad, Horrible Day. That is one of my favorite books, so I am now very excited to read your recommendation.

    Keep up the hard work!
