In the book of Be a Perfect Person In Just Three Days by Stephen Manes,
Milo is not the only person that wants to be perfect person in just three days. Dr. Silverfish wants Milo to be a perfect too. Milo is trying to keep his patience while reading the book, particularly about not turning the next page. He has a big dilemma about turning the page or not turning the page. Milo is smart because he listened to Dr. Silverfish and did not turn the page.

First, Milo went to the library and a book fell on his head. His parents were being rude to him so he wanted his parents to love him. He read chapter one and realized the author of the book is sort of crazy. He is a crazy guy named Dr. Silverfish. Finally, Milo is told that he has to do a few things to become perfect. The first thing that Dr. Silverfish told him was to wear broccoli.

If you have ever had a book fallen on your head, you will like this book because in the book, Milo went to find a monster book and the book fell on his head. If you have ever felt a book you will relate to the library, because he feels silly when he has to go to school with a string of broccoli around his neck. Everyone looks at him weirdly, “Milo that is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen,” Janet declared.

If you like Alexander and the No Good, Very Bad, Horrible Day by Judith Viorst, then you will like Be a Perfect Person In Just 3 Days by Stephen Manes because in both books the main characters Alexander and Milo both have bad days. They both upset their parents. They are also similar because in both books Alexander got pushed in the mud and Milo got picked on by his sister and by the school bully.

  1. Hi Davon,
This is a really good review! You use good words to describe things, like "dilemma" and "weirdly." I hope you stay interested in vocabulary and keep reading, because you did a great job!

  2. Davon,
I can't believe it: your second website! You're famous! Thanks for sending this one to me. I like your use of vocabulary words. And you make the book sound like something I would like. I have never had a book fall on my head, but maybe that will happen someday soon...

  3. Davon,

There is so much that I like in your review that I am having trouble putting it all down on paper quickly enough! You included a super quotation, you used excellent punctuation, and you very clearly proofread your work very carefully.

"Dilemma" is not an easy word by any means (can you say "high school" word?), but you used it very effectively. Your comma use in the final paragraph is also leaving stars in my eyes.

Keep up that good work, and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy this summer.
